Las Vegas’s MGM Grand is set to trade the classic tricks of a legendary illusionist for a fresh, cinematic brand of magic. On Thursday, Oct. 15, the venue will open its new stage‑based spectacle, "Now You See Me Live," a live adaptation of the 2013 film and its 2016 sequel.

The production, announced by Live Nation, will run through Jan. 5, 2027, and will feature the quartet known as the Four Horsemen: Italian escape artist champion Andrew Basso, Houdini‑era‑style escape specialist Gabriella Lester, rising modern‑magic star Adam Trent, and internationally acclaimed illusion designer Enzo Weyne. The show promises to showcase each performer’s solo prowess while weaving a series of "shocking twists" that mirror the heist‑filled narrative of the original movies.

"Now You See Me Live" builds on a film franchise that follows a team of stage magicians who use their performances as a front for elaborate heists. The live version, according to the announcement, will blur the line between illusion and reality, allowing audiences to feel directly involved in the spectacle.

Jenefer Brown, Lionsgate’s president of global products and experiences, said in a statement that the new show "will let fans be part of an unforgettable experience that blurs the line between illusion and reality," adding that the production would deepen the connection between the audience and the performers.

Tickets for the MGM Grand run will go on sale to the public on Monday, June 22, through Ticketmaster. The first performance is scheduled for Oct. 15, with the show continuing until Jan. 5, 2027. The MGM Grand Theater, part of MGM Resorts International’s flagship casino and hospitality brand on the Las Vegas Strip, has hosted a variety of live entertainment acts. The new magic show adds a high‑profile production to its lineup.

The Four Horsemen each bring a distinct reputation to the stage. Basso is known for his escape artistry; Lester gained notoriety for escaping Houdini’s upside‑down straightjacket at age 14; Trent is a rising star in modern magic; and Weyne is recognized for his illusion design work worldwide.

Live Nation, the company that announced the MGM Grand engagement, is a multinational entertainment firm that promotes and manages ticket sales for live events worldwide. The company also owns and operates venues, including the MGM Grand Theater.

The MGM Grand residency will run for approximately 12 weeks, after which the venue will be available for other productions. The show’s run through early January positions it as a fall and winter attraction for Las Vegas visitors.

The transition from David Copperfield’s residency to "Now You See Me Live" reflects MGM Grand’s strategy to diversify its entertainment offerings. Copperfield’s residency had been a staple of the venue’s programming for many years, and its conclusion in April opened the slot for the new magic show.

For ticket purchasers, the first available dates begin on June 22, with the opening night on Oct. 15. The show’s schedule, pricing, and seating options will be available through Ticketmaster’s website.

The MGM Grand Theater’s capacity and technical capabilities are well suited to the production’s elaborate illusion requirements. The venue’s history of hosting large‑scale performances suggests that it can accommodate the audience size expected for a high‑profile magic show.

In summary, "Now You See Me Live" will bring the cinematic magic of the film franchise to a live audience in Las Vegas, replacing a long‑running residency and offering a new entertainment option for visitors and locals alike. Tickets will be on sale from June 22, and the show will run from Oct. 15, 2026, through Jan. 5, 2027.
