Paramount+ is sharpening its second‑half slate with a late‑night horror sequel, a cult‑era romance, and a fresh Elvis documentary, offering fans a tri‑ad of thrills, nostalgia and rare music footage.

The new horror entry, Scream 7, follows Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott as a new Ghostface killer targets her daughter, Tatum. Directed by Kevin Williamson and written by Williamson and Guy Busick, the film premiered in U.S. theaters on February 27, 2026. Courteney Cox returns as Gale Weathers, and the cast also includes Isabel May, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and David Arquette. Production wrapped in March 2025 after filming began in January. With a $45 million budget, the movie earned $214 million worldwide, making it the highest‑grossing entry in the franchise and the second highest‑grossing slasher film in unadjusted dollars.

After its theatrical run, Scream 7 will become available on Paramount+ on April 28, 2026. The release follows the studio’s typical 46‑day window for the franchise’s recent installments.

Kevin Smith’s first feature to move beyond the low‑budget comedy style of Clerks is now added to the stream. Chasing Amy, released in 1997, was produced on a $250,000 budget and grossed over $12 million worldwide. It stars Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Jason Lee and Casey Affleck, and was distributed by Miramax. Critics praised the film’s frank treatment of sexuality and its blend of humor and drama, and it holds an 86 % rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The third addition, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert, is a 90‑minute documentary directed by Baz Luhrmann. Rather than relying on interviews or commentary, the film compiles previously unheard audio recordings of Presley speaking about his career. The documentary was produced by Luhrmann, Colin Smeeton, Jeremy Castro, Matthew Gross and Schuyler Weiss, and it was released on Paramount+ in June 2026.

Paramount+ continues to offer a tiered subscription model. The ad‑supported plan costs $8 per month and includes access to the full library of movies, series, and documentaries, as well as live sports such as NFL games on CBS and UEFA Champions League matches. The platform also supports simultaneous streaming on up to three devices.

With the addition of these titles, Paramount+ expands its appeal across horror, indie romance, and music documentary audiences. The studio’s strategy of pairing theatrical releases with a relatively short streaming window has proven effective for the Scream franchise, and the inclusion of a Kevin Smith classic and an Elvis documentary broadens the service’s catalog for subscribers.

The current lineup positions Paramount+ to capture viewers looking for late‑night thrills, nostalgic indie films, and rare music footage. Upcoming releases include additional Paramount+ originals and other titles slated for the summer, while the studio continues to negotiate new licensing deals and production agreements for the next fiscal year.
